It is noted that you provided not one word to support your position. Whatever the hell it is.

You see the final product............a Valley that's heavily dependent on irrigated water; that can't depend on ground water because of the potential for soil collapse and compaction, the Colorado River trickles into Baja CA.........what was once a mighty river becomes an inconsistent stream because of all the water that is drained from it by the states of CA, NV, UT and AZ. The US can't afford to lose the SJ Valley because of all the food it produces but that doesn't stop the water crisis. And you babble on about free markets like that's a cure. There is not enough water for even the least water demanding crops........and trust, this nation is far more dependent on tomatoes than almonds.

Its the lack of gov't intervention during the SJ Valley's development that has gotten us into this mess.
