Studies say different.

Making such things illegal simply makes a black market. With all the related crime.

Last I heard, 90% of the heroin in the streets of the US, starts out in Afghanistan. Keeping things like that illegal helps line the pockets of corrupt people.

It's not like it's a new concept. Prohibition in the 1920s caused crime. Ending it caused a drop in crime.

Supporting prohibition supports crime and corruption on massive scales. Such massive corruption undermines national security and public safety. (see Mexico)

I am NOT saying the drugs are good. Just that the current "solution" isn't producing the desired results. The current system can only continue the corruption and related crime.
