Mohan, I understand your point. The CPQ in the +1000 to 2000 price range are not selling as well as the 999 unit. The 799 unit is not as popular as the 999 unit from my experience. The BTO model will use the web. The CTO model will use the the distibution and the authorized dealers. Meanwhile, the natives are restless. The unauthorized dealers may be sitting on a lot of merchandise at the end of january. Ouch.... Despite what sTEVE says, CPQ would not be doing this if DELL did not have an advantage.
