The proven reserves are not all the same quality, but everyone's remaining reserves are increasingly predominated by heavy and sour oil.

With Iran Being #4 in the world in reserves, we can easily see why China is gearing up to hugely boost Iran's oil production, holding the fourth largest reserves in the world, and build Iran a refinery as partial payment.

In many ways China has much more to gain or lose from Iran's nuclear compliance so is exerting all their possible pressure on the Iranian leadership.
