Well, then let's say he only TRIPLED our national debt.

I remember the campaign in 1980 when he made a point of saying how horrific our national debt had become.

He said if you put those dollars end to end they would reach the moon and back.

For a guy to say something like that and then TRIPLE the number of those dollars seems to me should be worthy of the term "Father of Deficits".

And it's not just because money was just thrown away during the Reagan years, it's also that he set a PATTERN for other Republicans to follow.

Even in 2005, Dick Cheney said on national television that Reagan had PROVED that "deficits don't matter".
