Something that may be confusing the issue here is that there are a fair number of men who are in denial of their orientation. Even today, there is a pretty negative stigma attached to being gay. And there are those who are just in denial over it.

On the wrongplanet.net website, in the adult issues section the topic of sexual orientation often comes up. There is the ability to create polls and I have noticed that a larger percentage of the males self-identify as gay or bisexual than in the normal population. And a very high percentage of the females self-identify as bisexual. Now this is completely unscientific. Not everybody participates, for example. And there could be selection factors that skews the population. But it also could be that those on the spectrum just don't care as much about what society thinks, and it is polls of NTs that are giving a false impression of what the percentages are.
