Hillary changed her positions to be more in line with current trends. No one who is considering voting for her cares a whit about it, most people who were adults in 2002 have modified their views on these topics since 2002 and so they relate positively to such things, and many of them are willing to just set aside obvious flaws because they are true believers in the end game.

Her opponents bringing this stuff up now appear petty and mean spirited. Doing so, is counter productive to their cause. There is plenty of valid criticism which is current and applicable. Some of the old stuff is applicable too, since it is character defining.

Disclaimer: I have no intention of voting for Hillary because I consider her to be the quintessential example of a corrupt political machinery steam rolling the consciousness of a population with deceit and malfeasance.
