Gersh asked: Do you actually believe [Balkanization of the USA] is remotely possible?
If you would have asked me that 50 years ago, I would have laughed at you.
If you would have asked me that 25 years ago, I would have said, "No, that's highly improbable, but it's not inconceivable."
If you would have asked me that 5 years ago, I would have said, "Well, it's looking more and more likely now."
Today, when you ask me that, my reply is, "Yes. I think that it will happen in the not-too-distant future."
Countries that break up and "Balkanize" due to internal strife and differences represent the norm in the world. It is not normal for a country to remain static indefinitely. Fractures always occur along religious, ethnic and/or racial lines. It is very natural for people to not only want and need to be exclusively among their own kind, but to also go to war and kill people in order to be facilitate that need.
The ONLY glue that holds multiculturalism together is money and a police-state. In other words, it is a very unnatural, forced and artificial condition.
There would be no toleration of differences if people weren't paid to be tolerant, forced to be tolerant, and distracted by food and entertainment from people and issues that are regarded as intolerable.
A natural or man-made calamity that interrupts the food chain, the entertainment diversions and/or the money supply would unravel what's left of civilization so fast it would make your head spin. Once food and clean water are cut off, many would lay down and die very quickly, while others would fight to the death to survive. Both are very natural outcomes. Natural instincts would kick in, and people would bond with like minded people to increase their chances of survival. It is completely natural and it could happen at any time now. |
