1. A criminal robs a convenience store at gunpoint and kills the attendant.
A conservative thinks...
-- I hope the police arrested him, and I hope the criminal just system dispenses proper justice to him for his crimes. Our thoughts are with the deceased convenience store attendant's family.
A leftist thinks...
-- Did the police hurt the shooter while arresting him? Does anyone have a video of that arrest? Society is to blame for the man's actions! If society didn't make that man poor, leaving him hopeless with no opportunities, he wouldn't have needed to rob a store and kill someone.
2. A high school selects a class valedictorian and salutatorian based on grades and academic merit.
A conservative thinks...
Great! A long American tradition was upheld. Congratulations to both students who worked hard for four years to distinguish themselves and earn this honor. Congratulations to the other students who graduated, too! Well done!
A leftist thinks...
This is a discriminatory award given to the elite, based on prejudice and unfair standards. What about all of the students who failed high school this year and won't even receive a diploma? They deserve to graduate with their class and receive their diplomas! Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are gonna hear about this bigotry and racism!
3. A man comes from very humble and impoverished beginnings. He works long hours to put himself through college and graduate school. He ultimately builds a very successful business and becomes a millionaire.

This is a great American story! It's a story that describes the culmination of a lifetime of hard work, creativity, perseverance, and self-discipline. The man prudently acted on fundamentally-sound ideas that ultimately led to many rewards for him. The man managed to elevate himself from an uneducated life in poverty, to a well-educated and very successful man by most standards, which is excellent! I hope he enjoys the well-earned fruits of his labor.

What a lame story of phony capitalism! Did he really put himself through school and build that business? Hell no! Even the president said so! The man did NOT build that! How many people did he step on, prey on, and wrong while climbing over more-deserving people who were forced to live on welfare and food stamps? They were just as deserving! The man and the system are bigots and a racists, and he did NOT build that! No way!
4. A Black student was accepted to medical school after the school waived his grades and other academic admission requirements, which he failed to meet. After enrolling, he failed out of med school six months later, despite much additional help by all of his very liberal professors. Al Sharpton arrived on the scene, filed a lawsuit, and charged racism and discrimination against the school. The school quickly relented, immediately awarded the man Doctor of Medicine diploma, and apologized for its blatant racism and bigotry against the student. School officials also promised to triple the number of Black graduates in the years ahead, and work closely with Rev. Sharpton to ensure satisfactory affirmative action compliance.

This is deplorable. The student never deserved admission to the school in the first place. Clearly, he wasn't qualified. He ultimately failed, despite having abundant opportunities to pass. Now, he is a "doctor" based exclusively on his skin color alone. What a disgraceful and unjust outcome. Now, patients will be treated by a completely unqualified "doctor".

Poetic justice! That racist school should still be ordered to pay compensation for damages to the student and all other Black students who were denied admission or failed out of the school during its history! Black students matter! |
