Sean-
Are you suggesting that because the default template was saved at a time when there were inadvertant MSSmart subdirectory files that it (the template) might be the source of new MSSmart files being regenerated from new (previously deleted) clean data? I might try creating a new template to test that if that's so. Am I reading you?

I only delete specific directories on nightly Q+ scans that look for special trigger events. I keep others such as Brian Killough's IBD bi-monthly hi EPS/RS list, Richards BBB output in a lookback loop retained for about 13-17 days and some other special watch situation updated on a regular basis without deleting anything. Smart Charts have nothing to do with Q+ but MS techs might point fingers there; they only emerge from MS intervention, supposedly when having the Use Smart Charts setting selected, but not apparently the case with some of us. Look at fresh Q+ output in Windows explorer before veiwing in MS and there's nothing there. After scanning or viewing they appear. Maybe somethings confused by default templates in this situation. Data management is a little challenging, but nothing like that facing folks in the days of old.
