That's not really what we're bothered about. What bothers us is that, in increasing order, the top 5%, top 1% and top .1% get to keep more than all the rest of us, in percent of actual income terms. This is a trend that been occurring over the last 35 years, that seems to have begun with Reagan, and has been pimped by Republicans ever since.

The way the Republicans sell it is by saying that the (D)'s want to raise YOUR taxes. Unless you're in one of the above income groups, that's simply a lie.

It's a matter of simple fairness. These people have benefited the most, yet pay the least, percentage of income-wise.
