I'm stunned at the rental rate hikes in just the last 2 years... Income disparity and its consequences are unfolding right here in the Bay Area(as you well know)..... Long-time renters in neighborhoods in SF being evicted to make room for the tech boom 6+figure incomes. It's devastating to witness, frankly.... Which takes me to another point----this is not new and has been discussed on these(D) threads---it's educating our youngsters so that they can compete for tech/science jobs that are right here...Underserved/educated kids in the area don't stand a chance....it's why I loved Barack's community college program. I've lost track of what happened to it...
