You are trying to change the subject, which was that for years the most brilliant cancer scientists in the world believed that radical mastectomy was the best treatment for breast cancer because they were confused about how the disease metastisized. For almost 100 years 97% of cancer experts agreed on a fundamental principle that was just wrong has hell, had immense financial and emotional costs, as well as cost in human lives, associated with it.

And this is the reason that consensus science is a bad idea and those of us who "believe in science" avoid any suggestion that a consensus suggests anything other than a herd mentality. And we are even more doubtful when the is a PR campaign by politicians to spend money based on such a consensus.

The scientific method is supposed to be rigorous, not a process carried out by politicians and journalists.
