The good news: ISSI is trading near book value. The bad news: 25% of revenues come from US Robotics ( now part of 3Com ). That business has been in the dumpster lately, especially with confusion over 56K modem standards. With 3Com having publically stated their intention to clear out inventory, you can bet this will be a lousy quarter for ISSI. The good news: The standards issue seems to be settled. The bad news: Cable modems will make this business obsolete. The question: Does anyone know if ISSI's products are used in cable modems?
