Jon: I beg to differ with you on your assertation! Did you know that there are 87 + telemdicine projects ongoing in the DOD telemdicine testbed? The estimate for the year 1995 were $1 billion appropriated for (telemedicine) and $5 billion for the year 2000. Those are figures for telemedicine only, not for all the other varied uses of (VTC).

From 1993 to 1995, a 30-fold increase in bandwidth has created a revolution for the many applications never thought possible just a few years ago. Today, wherever you can put a phone, you have the potential for telemedicine. The doctor's office is expanded to the whole world. Telemedicine obliterates time & space by electronic means for the care of patients. To be continued.............
