Jeff -

Most of my projects have not been what we consider big, more than 6 months of effort.

Smart companies (clearly you're enjoying working at one), have learned to not tackle humongous projects... break them down into smaller pieces. Clearly you guys do that whenever possible.

The year 2000 project is NOT difficult just big.

Agreed... which is why it baffles me when guys like Bill Wexler call Y2K a hoax.

Our year 2000 project is taking up 17% of our resources

That looks like an annual burn rate of $8.5M (assuming a rock bottom loaded labor rate of $100k per head)... sounds like real money to me.

Thanks for the perspective & data points.

- David
