Gosh, what an interesting and scary question. First of all, if I do a fresh re-install, I pretty much lose all the software I've installed over the years. I could get 90% of that back but I'd guarantee you that this would take weeks, if not months. I'm also sure that it would take many tens of hours reassembling the software behemoth that has taken me 3 years to assemble. At some point this will be worth it. I'm just surprised that things have gone downhill so fast with what I thought was a very capable machine. Again, if anyone can recommend a non-destructive, competent registry cleaner, that would be great. GG
