He is parroting talking points. The POV is of the very rich who pay very little of their income in sales taxes. Or, for that matter, payroll taxes.

So the focus is on income taxes as the only ones that are important.

Their whole world is designed to feed their egos and maintain their smugness. They really believe they run this country.
