Dude, the postal service worked fine until Rs got their hands out it. No, it really wasn't any better then. Except it never works that way. Except it normally works that way (if you the tax cut can actually go in to effect while your still deep in the recession, admittedly a big if, but not as big of one as new spending other then "automatic stabilizers" and it comes without the downsides of more spending)
