Which isn't that relevant. Also compare it to a pint sized airline and the result is the same.

To the extent its relative lack of size is meaningful, its an argument against the subsidies it receives. It receives a lot of subsidies but moves relatively few people.

Public transport tends not to be profitable.

Usually public transport is used to refer to local transport not long distance transport. The form of long distance transport that gets the heavy losses and subsidies is long distance rail travel.
