Dear Shalom,
I think this is exciting if we share what the Lord is doing and how it might apply to prophecy.
The final trumpet is on Yom Kippur the Day of Atonement. The first blast are a series of blast on Rosh Hashana (New Year). On Rosh Hashana there are a series of four trumpets that sound a sequence of three blast each at the Wailing Wall and in Temples throughout the world The four positions represent the four corners of the Earth as God calls the Nations to come to Worship. This starts a week of serious repentance and confession of sins to God and anyone you can make things right with. This leads to the Day of Atonement. Since we have a perfect sacrifice I always celebrate communion on this day in honor of the Atonement made for me by my Precious Messiah Yeshua. At the end of this repentance and fasting in prayer with communion there is a final trumpet blast. There is allot of speculation on these trumpet blasts. The most common I have heard is that Rosh Hashana could be the Rapture of the Church from the four corners of the earth and the blast on Yom Kippur ( Day of Atonement)would be the end of Jacobs troubles the 7 days between the 2 Holidays representing the 7 years of 2 3-1/2 year periods of time.
We believe the Feast of Trumpets was His birthday. This is the ingathering and time of Harvest. The Lords birth was the harvest of Israels labors. Also, God said to live in booths ( Sukkahs) to remember the days in the wilderness as they had been delivered by His Mighty Hand from Egypt. The Lords birth is the deliverance of all mankind from the bondage of sin. If you see a Sukkah (booth) it looks exactly like a manger scene. In Israel birth is one of the most important and sacred events and it is hard to imagine them putting a woman in a barn to give birth. But using a Sukkah would be acceptable. This is just fun speculation when we are with Him we will understand all the wonderful things He has done for us.If you really study there is allot of dates in Luke from Zacheriah and Marys visit to Elizabeth and the three months she was there and Elizabeth being 6 mos pregnant(Luke 2:36) at the time Mary got there. If Zachariah was lighting the incense at Yom Kippur which is the most common time that would be in Sept. add the 6 mos. and that would be Feb.Nine months from there would be Oct.So the fall would be conceivable.Again this is total speculation because God did not choose to give us the exact day. Maybe because we would worship the day and add things to it like gifts and other things and loose the real meaning. One other point is the Shepards may not have sat out in the fields with their sheep in the winter.
