Public transport tends not to be profitable.

Usually public transport is used to refer to local transport not long distance transport. The form of long distance transport that gets the heavy losses and subsidies is long distance rail travel.

Once again, BS. Every major airline in this country has BK'd at least once; some multiple times. Rs kid themselves into thinking all transport can be profitable and unsubsidized. All over the world, that has been proven to be wrong. Only American wingers cling to that belief.

And consequently most of our local and train transport is third world.
