I wonder if the jealousy about the 1% isn't just the historical norm.

William Hearst JP Morgan,The Vander Bilts- they all had wealth in a relative way that blew every one elses wealth/accumulation of things.

I've always thought of it as inspirational.

The fact that a geeky kid like Bill Gates made it in my lifetime is encouraging the system is still working.

Poor people rioting in cities are those who chose not to pursue excellence.

In GM if you were black and educated -you were on the fast track.

The highest potential for a fast track career is for a black or any recognized minority person to keep their nose clean - get an education (of which scholarships abound (Negro College fund for example)) and interview with major corporations who have EEO / HR goals.

A little tough love is in order IMO
