Texas Republican To Gov. Gregg Abbott: Stop ‘Pandering To Idiots’ (IMAGE) conservatives are dumber than i thought...lol! A Texas Republican fired off a letter skewering Governor Gregg Abbott on Thursday calling him out for “pandering to idiots” who think Jade Helm 15 is an invasion of the state by the US military. Jade Helm 15 is a routine US military training exercise taking place across several states in remote areas of the Southwest designed to prepare the special forces of all four branches of our armed forces for the challenges of modern warfare. As such, some areas have been designated as hostile territory, such as Texas. Of course, the designation and impending exercise has generated hysteria among conservatives and conspiracy theorists such as Alex Jones who contend the exercise is an operation to take away guns and declare martial law in the state. Texas GOP Governor Gregg Abbott took the ridiculous claims seriously and ordered the State Guard to monitor the exercises to “address concerns of Texas citizens and ensure that Texas communities remain safe, secure and informed.”
