But could Texas leave the US? It could. If the country continues to decline, and I believe it is all but irreversible at this point, it makes sense for stronger states to leave. Texas could be the first and most prominent, although Alaska would be smart to consider it as well. At the very least, Texas could wield its economic power to insist on competent economic policy.


You'd fit right in to the new nation of Texas...think of it...all the nutjobs would move there just before the Texas declaration of independence, and fret about imaginary invasions by the Texas_less US navy seals or new threat by the Mexicans...every one would carry on a holster...hey, you may want to start buying some land there.
