Excellent review. I'm not in the field but your insights confirm some suspicions . Lots of prototypes little production. Someone with imagination and expertise builds "one", goal achieved moves on. It seems from your comments we reside in the dos world where a good deal of knowledge is required to accomplish even simple tweaks. So perhaps it's not the super ap that's needed it's an "applefication" where any idiot can can turn on and run the system. Then let the younger generation show us how that set of tools can be used in everyday life. From dos to windows took many years but once bridged computers became appliances. What do you think? Does any of that ring true to your view?
