Wow ! Alberta the last standing right wing Province in Canada. Just elected a Socialist Government. Will be interesting to see how it plays out in the patch. I don't see it stopping Ft. Hills as it is to far in the curve. But may well instill caution in future projects. Until companies know what their agenda is going to be.

NDP government in BC killed a booming mining industry in BC when they came in under Premier Dave Barret.
Mining never came back under future socialist administrations. Today they are still hamstrung by the endless review processes & Red Tape that was introduced during their reign.
