This is an idiotic claim that anyone could shut that fool down on in seconds. Chomsky had fine thinking (although wrong in many ways) on linguistics but is just another nutjob when it comes to politics. This idea reminds me of something the liberal fool Howard Zinn might have said. Never mind the FACT that the "War on Poverty" is clearly responsible for the unfortunate plight of blacks in this country today, which effectively created families with no father and 12 kids. And there really is not much else you can blame. The war on drugs has been a terrible thing for this country, but every president. But Republicans believed it worked. Democrats didn't believe it worked, but supported it anyway. I guess we can all judge which is worse: Ignoring the problem or being wrong about the answer.
