John,

IMHO there aren't any real assets to make buying the problems worthwhile. The mortgages are securitized and owned by the investors that bought them. The buildings are probably leased and the 800 dused desks, fax machines etc., just are no reason to buy the company. You are right, however that the 800 employees are a jewel. The demand for their skills will cause someone to startup a new company to absorb them.
