RE: Great expectations
Ira,
No use advising Truff about the multi-year long-term prospects of Iomega. Her target is over 50% appreciation a year, remember? Holding Iomega for the next two years is almost certain to beat inflation by a mile, even after taxes and commissions, but this Clik thing will have to be staggeringly huge to beat 50% a year. She's right that, _given her strategy_, riding IOM down ten from the high in the low thirties was a mistake. Given yours and mine, it's not.
Sorry that you're disappointed, Truff. Nobody can hit all the highs and lows, so don't be too hard on yourself. You're still up for the year overall by quite a bit, no? And you'll be back into IOM again when the charts indicate more rockin-n-rollin, I'm sure.
I guess the bears aren't into black lace panties.
Happy trading, happy Winter Solstice, and happy whatever else you all celebrate at this time of year.
Cheers, Tom (long IOM) |
