Bro. Shalom, I think this is going to be my last post for the day.
You wrote, " Although Christ took on the sins of the world, those sins were not attributed to Him... He was blameless before God, He was without sin. Perfect..." I certainly agree with this.
Therein lies the magnificent power of God. I believe in The Trinity. That is, there is one God, but three entities(for lack of a better word). We have The Father in Heaven. There is The Son who came to earth, who prayed to the Father in heaven, who did the Father's will, who went back to His Father. Then The Holy Spirit who indwells the believer giving us the devine nature by new birth. Three different personalities but one God. Who understands this? Not me, but I see the things that the Bible testifies to and believe it to be that way, that is one God, three entities. Mormons on the otherhand believe they are three different gods with harmony in purpose. Some Pentecostals believe in a case where they are one god but with three different fuctions.
Having said that I would like to state my belief about The Son who died on the cross. " 2 Cor 5:21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." Here I see that The Son did more than take on our sin. He was made to be sin. He was made sin that I might be made righteousness in Him. That is He became the embodiment of sin. He was actually sin per se. I also believe that The Father cannot fellowship with sin. Therefore, at the point Jesus was made sin, The Father left Him. Henceforth, the horrible cry, "My God, my God, why have you foresaken Me?." This is THE GREAT PRICE THAT OUR LORD PAYED FOR US, SEPARATION FROM THE FATHER. I cannot imagine a greater pain than Him being separated from His Father. This is spiritual death. He suffered it that I might not suffer it. Spiritual death was the punishment that was due me. My Lord took it for me. He took my place and I took His righteousness with my second birth.
Just my understanding of His deaths. This has even more meanig in terms of the resurrection.
enough a'ready.
" Rom 11:33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways! Rom 11:34 For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, OR WHO BECAME HIS COUNSELOR? Rom 11:35 Or WHO HAS FIRST GIVEN TO HIM THAT IT MIGHT BE PAID BACK TO HIM AGAIN? Rom 11:36 For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen."
In Christ,
