MONROEVILLE, Pa., Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- PDG Environmental, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: PDGE - news) today
announced the award of three contracts totaling approximately $1.7 million, including projects for a major retailer and
Occidental Chemical. Each of the contract values is between $500,000 and $600,000. The retail project is located in New
Jersey and will start in early January and be completed by mid-April. The Occidental Chemical project will start in early
spring and involves asbestos abatement and reinsulation at Occidental's Niagara Falls Facility. The third project involves
removal of asbestos fireproofing from an 18-story office building in St. Louis and is scheduled to start in January and be
completed in 5 months.

''The award of these three contracts continues to add to PDG Environmental's record backlog, which is now in excess of
$30 million. All three projects are for valued customers and we are pleased to be performing services for them again,'' stated
John Regan, Chairman and CEO.
