BTW, have i mentioned there is 6% more water in the air than when we were kids, ddue to global warming. It doesn't always rain, but, when it rains, it pours. I expect this will happen here sooner or later.
Heavy rain swamps parts of Houston area, vehicles abandoned

HOUSTON (AP) — Storms in the Houston area have left behind flooded roads that swamped more than a dozen vehicles.
The National Weather Service reports a flash flood watch for the Houston area through Wednesday evening.
Forecasters say parts of Harris and Galveston counties were inundated with about 8 inches of rain.
Numerous vehicles were abandoned in high water on flooded side roads near Interstate 45 in the Webster area, south of Houston. A NWS storm report Wednesday indicated flash flooding along I-45 and FM 528, with at least 14 disabled cars and trucks.
In East Texas, recovery continues from Sunday night's tornado that pummeled the town of Van, leaving two people dead. Schools in Van, about 70 miles southeast of Dallas, are closed this week during the cleanup.
