><>...Hi Nancy, It is always a pleasure to consider the word of God

And you have much to add for our edification.

Nancy you said in this post..We believe the Feast of Trumpets was His birthday. In another post on Ask God, you said you believed that it was Feast of Tabernacles. Can I assume you meant to say that here also.

The Feast of tabernacles is what I believe scripture points to, starting as you say with the course of Abia, and Zacharias. The first course fell by lot to Jehoiarib and the eighth to Abijah.
1 Chr 24:6-10
6 And Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe, one of the Levites, wrote them before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and before the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites: one principal household being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.
7 Now the first lot came forth to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,
8 The third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,
9 The fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,
10 The seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,

Keep in mind that all the courses served together at the three Great Feast. The dates for the two yearly ministrations of Abiah are as follows:
The first ministration was from 12-18 Chisleu= Dec.6-12
The second ministration was from 12-18 Sivan= June 13-19.

The announcement to Zacharias in the Temple as to the conception of John the Baptist took place between 12-18 Sivan (June 13-19)
After finishing his ministration the aged priest departed to his own house, Luke 1:23, which was in city in the hill country of Judea, V.39

The day following the end of the "course of Abia", being a Sabbath,(Sivan 19) he would not have been able to leave Jerusalem before the 20th. The apprx. 30 mile journey for an old man would probably take a couple of days at least. He would then arrive at his house on the 21st or 22nd. This, then leaves plenty of time for the miraculous conception of Elizabeth to take place on or about the 23 or 24 of June (Sivan).

Then we have this;
Luke 1:23-31
23 And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house.
24 And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying,
25 Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.
26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

So during Elizabeth's 6th month of pregnancy, Mary conceived Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Elizabeth's 6th month would have been December 25th. That is, according to scripture, when the word became flesh and dwelt among us!
And to boot, Even the babe John, only 6 months in the womb:
Luke 1:41
41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit

For even he felt the presence of an only one day old Jesus in the womb of His Blessed mother.!...Praise God, Praise God!

(Pro abortionists say it is not yet a baby.!..Another time another subject!)

Nine months later the 15 Tisri= Sept 29,on the The Feats of Tabernacles, our Lord was born... "Ingathering"...God is perfect!

So Dec. 25 the day of conception is a most holy day to celebrate....as it was the day that God came to be with us. The word truly did become flesh on that day and began to dwell with us...Is.7:14, Matt.1:23

There is so much more to be said on this, and it is wonderful to discuss it.

Talk to you later Nancy
Love in Christ
Shalom...><>
