From what I have been able to gather, Spectrum network management software is a MAJOR competitive advantage. I must confes that other than parroting what I have read on the subject, I don't really know one piece of NMS vs another. Perhaps someone who does could help us out here.

On the hardware side I gather that product reviews are outstanding and that Cabletron is renowned for having superior scaleability.

Finally I like the Nortel Power Network relationship. I view this as another new indirect sales channel that could evolve into something meaningful. Nortel & Cabletron are should be releasing the co-developed Spectrum 4.1 in the spring. Apparentlt it will leverage of it's network management role & feature some data mininig functionality.
