You're right ... it is US hot days ... ie days over 95 degrees:

They don't show warming over the past century .... this is consistent with what NOAA and NASA's Hansen said back in the 90's about US temperatures.

"What solar radiation is trapped at night? Starlight?"

.............

Earth infrared radiation is trapped at night. Solar radiation isn't trapped at all.

Where do you think infrared radiation that hits earth comes from?

You should have just said infrared radiation from the heated earth (by solar radiation during the day) is still being radiated away from earth throughout the night. It's being radiated both day and night ... though naturally there'd be less during the night. But ultimately the infrared radiation the earth emits back toward the sky comes from solar radiation hitting the earth from the sun. That still leaves a problem ... why would nights be warmer without the preceding days being warmer?
