Global Warmers - Just out of curiosity I would like to ask the Global Warmers here a question.
I understand that you "say" you are concerned about your carbon footprint and CO2 released into the atmosphere causing global warming which results in damage to the earth. You expect this warming to produce a reduction in the quality of the life experience for humanity. You "say" you believe this will be of catastrophic proportions.

My question is a simple one. How many Maple trees or any trees have you planted? IMO if you are not heavily involved in the planting of trees and maintaining forests by re planting you are a bald faced hypocrite.
Every tree you plant removes a portion of your carbon footprint. Trees remove carbon from the air and store it as wood. They release the oxygen back into the air. I mentioned Maple trees because they are very leafy and many varieties grow rapidly. Another advantage is that plants are readily available. Maple trees produce thousands of seeds the kids call helicopters. Thousands of trees spring up all by themselves every spring. If you have Maple trees in you yard you kill hundreds of these young trees every year.
You can start in;your own yard. Do you have any open ground where you live. Shame on you.
Once you have your yard full of carbon sucking trees you can "branch" out into every bare spot you can find.
Just think how wonderful it would be if every bare piece of ground that was not used for agriculture was fully forested with big leafy trees sucking the carbon out of the air. I know it sounds like a dream but it can happen if each of you do your part.
These trees when fully mature and no longer growing rapidly can be harvested and used for building materials for homes for the poor. If the wood is not burned then the carbon stored in the wood will never be released. The trees of course will be replaced with new young fast growing trees to continue to suck the carbon out of the air. Man, is this beautiful or what? I've got cold chills.

So IMO until you get on the "stick" and start planting those trees you are just blowing "smoke" and polluting the air with nonsense that you don't really believe yourself and if you do believe it you do not care.

Bottom line: Don't bother belly aching about global warming if you have any treeless ground where you live. If you know of room anywhere for another tree, plant it or shut up.
