Al Sharpton’s daughter hiked up mountain on ‘sprained’ ankle

The Rev. Al Sharpton’s daughter unwittingly proved that her $5 million sprained-ankle suit against the city is a mountain of BS.

Dominique Sharpton posted pictures to Instagram showing she completed a difficult mountain climb in Bali, Indonesia — even though her suit says that “she still suffers” debilitating pain after twisting her ankle in a street crack in Soho last year.

She didn’t seem to realize that her mountaineering exploits might undermine her legal claims as she bragged online about the difficulty of her ascent.

“We hiked UP the mountain, over the clouds… into the SUNRISE,” Dominique, 28, wrote in the May 16 post.

“One of the most beautiful sites ever. And YES I ALMOST DIED GETTING UP THERE LOL. #Balidays we made it, WHEW.”

She also posted another picture on the photo-sharing site of the sun rising over a blanket of clouds.

She described the sight as “unreal.”

What legal experts saw as truly unreal, however, is the younger Sharpton’s brazen boasting after she claimed in court papers that she was in “permanent physical pain.”

“It is starting to look like Tawana Brawley is orchestrating the Sharpton trial strategy,” quipped CNN legal analyst Paul Callan. “It graphically demonstrates bad judgment and good feet. It all adds up to no case.”

As The Post reported exclusively on Sunday, Dominique Sharpton says she sprained her ankle in a crosswalk at Broome Street and Broadway on Oct. 2, 2014.

Her April 29 suit says, “She still sufferers and will continue to suffer for some time physical pain and bodily injuries.”

While she was seen using a walking boot in the weeks after the alleged accident, by December, she was showing up in social-media images wearing high heels.

Now, her alpine adventures may sink her dubious case for good.

“Ms. Sharpton’s decision to climb a mountain in Bali and then post an incriminating photo on Twitter is a gift to the defense,” Callan said.

But her lawyer, John Elefterakis, said, “Ms. Sharpton did sustain multiple ligament and tendon tears in her ankle” and added that, despite her mountain exploits, she “has not returned to her pre-accident form.”

The younger Sharpton could still prove she was in bad shape for several weeks and deserves compensation — even if it’s much less than $5 million, said workers’-comp and disability lawyer Edward Scheine.

Nonetheless, Dominique Sharpton didn’t do herself any favors boasting about the mountain climb.

“This could mitigate the value of this case,” Scheine said.

A rep for the New York City Law Department declined to comment on Sharpton’s claims, other than to say, “The suit will be reviewed.”
