Traditionally the Republicans and the Democrats generally try to deal with infrastructure by throwing a ton of money at it with little management and cost control.

The Democrats do so and cheer about it, the Republicans spend the money while campaigning against such waste. But neither holds back from spending the money.

So you have enthusiastic money wasters on one side and hypocrites on the other.
