The dumbass-in-chief can't be stopped from making such a ban of federally owned weapons. But that fool isn't going to stop police departments from buying them if they believe they need them. Which they apparently do.

Why would he do this? It isn't like these weapons end up in the hands of street criminals.

Seems to me to be a bridge to political outrage, although I haven't heard anything about it other than from you.

Unless, as usual, Gawker is overreporting the situation. If he wants to ban grenade launchers I doubt anyone will complain.
