California is running out of water because of climate change. From what I read, CA has had droughts before, worse than the present one.

Climate change in the short term is called weather. In both the short and long term, climate change is normal and has been ongoing from the beginning. It's nonsense to think that something we're doing is driving the weather of the entire earth.
