Near a 15 year low since so many people have left the workforce.
To be fair that's not all on Obama. The baby boomers have started to retire, the last recession was pretty severe, and there are other factors. But avoiding putting all or even most of the blame on Obama for poor total employment performance hardly means that you should give him credit for a fictionally really food job performance situation.
Not giving him false credit.........in many parts of this country we are starting to see staffing shortages that just a few years ago were confined mostly to ND and parts of TX due to the oil boom. There are 128 metro areas with unemployment at 5% or below.........at 5% unemployment, jobs and unemployed labor are considered to be in equilibrium. There are 43 metros at 4% or less unemployment, a level considered to be full employment where labor shortages exist in certain industries:

And we're not talking just small metros...........these numbers include metros like Boston, SF, San Jose, Austin, Dallas, Houston, OK City, Seattle, Nashville, DC, Cincy, etc.
The economy has prospered under Obama and we are fortunate to have had him as president. He deserves the credit in spades. |
