Immune system repression .. That works out very well for persons with auto immune diseases.

It is very interesting that the first wave of mothers milk is packed with anandamide, the bliss cannabinoid. If immune suppression damaged the child, then our body systems would not have evolved to deliver cannabinoids to the newborn child. This cannabinoid is presented to every mammal upon birth.

If it was bad for the newborn child, it simply wouldn't work out well. Reducing the percentage of children that survive childbirth. So whatever that impact is (immune suppression) it is a benefit to the child.

Those studies have some of those mixed results in them. Mixed drugs, such as alcohol AND cannabis. Obviously the alcohol is a serious problem in fetal development. So it becomes difficult to glean accurate information about marijuana only.

Social elements are involved. Something or things triggered risk taking for these children. Once the risk taking patterns begin, experiments with many substances commonly take place. Alcohol being one of those. Again, proven bad for developing brains (and other organs).

IF the young person is going to play with risk taking patterns, then the least amount of damage to the child is best.
