Ali , re. confidence in technology sector I have been expecting a correction to approx 1400 on the nasdaq . This AM the Nasdaq tested 1500 and is holding . The PSE technology index also appears to have touched its bottom trend line . So I am now beginning to change my mind , since the two indices have appeared to reached a good base , IMO this should be the bottom or close to it . One thing to keep in mind is that stocks do not trade in a vacuum , their pricing is always relative to interest rates . The asian crisis will lower inflation and thus depress interest rates even more . This will allow for stocks to have lower yields , so even though earnings for some companies will be lower the lower yields should be offset by lower interest rates , regards , Brian
