You know climate change can be GOOD in the short term. At least locally....

All this flooding has actually taken Texas OUT of drought status.

It has also helped to replenish the major aquifer that supports farming from Texas on up through our major farm belt. Those folks will be able to handle another dust bowl for the next 30 years.

It seems the BIG problem that isn't local is that 25% of the CO2 we are pumping out that is being absorbed by the world's oceans. Acidity levels are rising rapidly in those oceans and are killing off the reefs that support all the rest of the ocean life. Take those rising acidity levels and add over fishing and we may be seeing the END of getting any food from the world's oceans.
