| | | Win7 was probably a good choice at this point in time with Win10 coming out so soon. Do you think you will try the free upgrade? Windows is trying/planning to switch to subscription model that was talked about when Bill Gates was still CEO. That's when I first time heard of it. So my guess is, everyone gets Win10 for free and then MS start charging yearly subscription fee. Just like Office 360. If they can get every year (or every month) money from you, then they don't need to keep rush with producing every two years new (and buggy) OS and try to strong arm you into buying new one. And new Office... There is too many problems this way, people are staying with old versions (such as XP), MS is making too many mistakes when rushing new OS out and pissing off too many users (like ME,Vista, 8)...
With subscription they solve all these problems. All but one, there is better free alternative...
My suggestion is, users with Windows 7, instead of upgrading to Windows 10, don't upgrade, stay with Win7 and start learning and get familiar and comfortable with better and free alternative... |
