Great article Luvin_it, thanks for posting that.

Isotropia is a quality that means the graphite acts the same in all directions. Since flakes are flat, they are inherently anisotropic. As he says in the article, very small flakes ie sub 10 microns can behave isotropically. Large flake graphite like all flake deposits and CCB are anisotropic by definition. Now, they can jet mill and micronize their graphite to obtain smaller flake sizes but then that can damage the flakes and decrease the performance.

ZEN here is very fortunate that we have nuclear grade and isotropy right out of the ground!
