Of course not. Look at those Texans restraining the anti-gay attacker:

.......... The angry man can be heard swearing and insulting another man who is wearing a pink shirt. Bystanders attempt to calm him down, with one man in a cowboy hat asking the enraged man what he's upset about.

"Queers!" the man responds, "That's what I'm upset about. This [expletive] right here."

The unidentified attacker then kicks and slaps the man in the pink shirt, before bystanders intervene.

The man in the cowboy hat becomes enraged and helps tackle the assailant to the ground while shouting a series of profanities at the attacker.

Police join the brawl and restrain the man. He then begins spitting racist comments at the arresting officers, who were black. At one point, he attempts to headbutt one of the officers in the groin.

Notice the "bystanders intervene?" That's how we handle these things in TX.

Way back in 1991 there were some kids who went to Montrose to bash some gays and they ended up killing one, a bank vice president. The teen who killed the gay guy is still locked up:

No parole for 'Woodlands 10' killer in ‘91 Montrose gay bashing

.... On July 4, 1991, Buice and nine other male McCullough students began taunting three men, including Broussard, outside a nightclub in Montrose. During a fight, Broussard was stabbed three times, beaten with a nail-studded two-by-four and kicked with steel-toed boots.

Buice, 17 at the time, delivered the fatal stab wounds.

Gay prison activist Ray Hill, Buice’s friend and supporter, questioned the “new information” received by the parole board. Hill believes the withdrawal was “only accomplished because John Whitmire and (State Rep. Garnet Coleman, R-Houston) got involved.”
