...><> David,
First I would like to establish what the phrase "Jesus died a spiritual death" means to you . It is no place in the word of God. It is a doctrine of man. Man has come to this, in my opinion, blasphemous conclusion based on 2 Cor.5:21??
You are correct in stating that we cannot understand everything, but if I were to believe that Jesus died a spiritual death, then I understand NOTHING, and God forgive me. Because then nothing else makes any sense. Not the word of God, and certainly not the death of my Lord...
Again I say, to believe that the precious Lamb of God, Jesus, spotless and Blameless before His father could have died (oh God forgive them)a spiritual death, is not to understand a "spiritual death", and certainly not to understand the fullness and righteousness of a man called Jesus. The Messisah...The redeemer of sin, and not sin Himself, for in Him there is no sin...
Oh dear God the impact of such a statement."Jesus died a spiritual death"?.. How could any servant of God even think it?..God Forbid.
Heb.9:14...note "eternal Spirit"...That is who Jesus is....
I must hand it to Emile, for he wedged this issue here between us, in another attempt to divide the brethren. For he knew that is why he reappeared, to give praise to post # 1717. But I for one, will not allow anyone to remove me from the love of Christ.... or from the brethren...From this point on I have marked that one...Rom.16-17.. I for one will not take part in weaving a vile web of strife out of this thread.
David to you I say, Eph.6:23-24 Shalom...><> BTW, what were you referring to when you stated in your post to emil..."Paul, an apostle?" |
