If Gore had been elected, he would have overthrown Saddam, as he'd promised to do. The difference is Republicans generally don't side with foreign enemies against Democrats. Democrats generally DO side with foreign enemies when a Republican is in the WH. Notice how the antiwar movement died when Obama was elected.
